Immersive LED Rooms for Industry and ResearchLED CAVES

Virtual Reality in the Room – No VR Headset Required

LED Caves are immersive projection rooms whose walls, floor, and ceiling are lined with high-resolution LED surfaces. They deliver brilliant colors, the highest contrasts, and image quality that far surpasses conventional projection CAVEs – shadow-free, without the need for a darkened room, with a smaller installation depth, and permanently consistent color accuracy.

Kraftwerk Living Technologies plans, delivers, and integrates LED Caves as turnkey systems from a single source: from feasibility studies through engineering, hardware, and software integration to commissioning, calibration, and ongoing service.

Proven with OEMs and Universities

Automotive Industry.
Leading OEMs use our LED Caves for design reviews, virtual prototyping, and ergonomics studies – vehicles are evaluated at full scale long before a physical prototype exists.

Universities and Research.
At universities and research institutions, our Caves are used for scientific data visualization as well as applications in architecture, medicine, psychology, and human factors research.

What Sets Our LED Caves Apart

Hours of Work at Normal Room Temperature

A fully enclosed 5-sided LED Cave generates significant heat loads. Kraftwerk Living Technologies has developed a proprietary, sophisticated thermal management system that maintains the interior air temperature at a normal room level continuously – whisper-quiet, with minimal drafts, and independent of image content or duration of use.

2-User Multi-View

Optionally, we offer a multi-view solution for two users: two independent, head-tracked viewports on the same LED surface. Each user sees the scene from their own position with correct perspective – ideal for collaborative design reviews and research scenarios.

High-Load LED Floor

For the walk-on Cave floor, we use specially reinforced LED modules designed to withstand high point and area loads – including being driven on by full-size vehicles. The floor modules come from the same LED batch as the walls, ensuring a seamless, color- and brightness-identical integration into the overall image.

Seamless Tracking Integration

Tracking cameras are integrated directly into the display surfaces via specially manufactured LED modules with precision-cut recesses. This keeps the non-active surface area to an absolute minimum, with virtually no impact on immersion.
