In July 2016, the brand-new “The Land of Legends” theme park – designed and built as a joint venture with Rixos Hotels, Emaar Properties PJSC, and Dragone Productions – was opened to the public. Franco Dragone was the creative mind behind the park’s story featuring a fantastic mix between spectacular live performances, exciting water attractions, and stunning architectural highlights. One of the attractions at the park is the 5th Dimension attraction, the latest generation Waterplexx 5D attraction by Kraftwerk Living Technologies. The new 96-seat theater attraction allows for a truly immersive movie experience, which combines and integrates a vast array of special effects with exciting water effects, and 3D content – while wearing your swimsuit! Its innovative nature and the technical expertise applied to make a high-quality movie experience possible is unique. It does not compromise the quality of the technology in place even though water is present in the theater. Waterplexx 5D integrates all of this into an incredibly fun and exciting experience for waterpark guests, featuring more than 12 special effects, ranging from magic fountains and water jets to ground fog, strobe lighting, lasers, and 3-axis motion.
