In Graz, a new Media Center has been added to the company premises of the Styria Media Group, one of the leading media companies in Austria, Croatia, and Slovenia. For this 60-meter tall, state-of-the-art building, Kraftwerk Living Technologies provided the complete integration of audio, video, lighting, and systems control including seminar rooms, meeting points, a TV broadcast studio, Newsroom, event stages, and the foyer area, as well as the architectural lighting and integration of a LED ticker on the outer facade.
While the building impresses from an architectural standpoint, the highlights do not stop there. The building counts eleven floors, 1,200 work places, a sky lobby on the top floor, a foyer for events hosting some 240 guests, and a restaurant. Another highlight and the “central nervous system” of the media group is the Newsroom, where the about 200 journalists from Kleine Zeitung, Antenne Steiermark and Radio Content Austria work in an area spanning over 2,700 m2. The work space is equipped with state-of-the-art work stations, a total of 35 overhead displays and a central news desk with an extendable LC display, iPad docking stations, a video conference system, and more. The ticker on the external facade of the Styria Media Center invites passers-by to get informed about the latest news and announcements – thanks to the latest LED technology.
