2024 | Rust (DE)Voltron Nevera Coaster
In addition to the numerous projects that have already been realized in collaboration between Europa-Park and KLT, the spectacular coaster “Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac” joined the lineup in April 2024.
Developed and built by Mack Rides, the Voltron Nevera Coaster is a combination of dark ride and roller coaster. With its height of 32.5 meters, a top speed of 100 km/h, and thrilling turns, it offers an electrifying adventure for adrenaline junkies. Set in the new Croatian-themed area, designed and created by MACK One, the Voltron Coaster covers a track length of 1,385 meters, offering a breathtaking package. This includes seven inversions, four launches, 2.2 seconds of continuous weightlessness, and the world’s steepest launch at a 105-degree angle.
KLT was able to contribute its expertise to this project right from the planning phase and was mainly responsible for the entire media technology, including the procurement, installation, and programming of audio, video, lighting, and show technology, which is used in nearly all of the approximately 20 scenes. The themed world surrounding Nikola Tesla features numerous innovative elements, including:
- Real Tesla coils in the queue area, for which custom-composed sounds were created, synchronized with the lightning generated by the coils. Tense lighting and sound effects accompany the entire attraction.
- In the launch area, state-of-the-art LED technology is used in combination with high-quality projections to create a 15-second climax before the gondolas, each holding 16 people, launch every 30 seconds.
- In the Faraday cage scene, a transparent mesh LED and an animatronic of Nikola Tesla are used. Our programming ensures that a different show is generated for each ride, providing visitors with a varied and dynamic experience, even on multiple rides.
- As an additional highlight, the ice cream parlor opposite the ride has been equipped with media technology, presenting an hourly animatronic show that seamlessly fits into the Tesla theme.
