2014 | Rust (DE)Arthur in the Minimoys Kingdom at Europa-Park
In summer 2014, Europa-Park opened the most intricate indoor attraction in the park’s history. Based on Luc Besson’s fantasy saga “Arthur and the Invisibles’, Europa‑Park created – in close co-operation with the creator himself – an extraordinary themed visitor experience, the Minimoys Kingdom. The attraction is located in a 3,500 m2 indoor hall, hidden under a gigantic, 15-meter dome.
The attraction fascinates visitors with a unique coaster ride which is a world premiere attraction from Mack Rides. Passengers fly through the dream world in rotating gondolas suspended below the track. The incomparable ride combines dark ride sequences (effect-loaded indoor scenes) and dynamic coaster elements outside the dome.
For this prestigious project, Kraftwerk Living Technologies was primarily contracted to integrate the entire lighting of the fairytale world. The range includes the accent and effect lighting of the various animatronics and props, the spherical and ambient lighting as well as gobo projections. Furthermore, Kraftwerk LT implemented various special effects like fog, wind, scent, water spray, and heat effects.
In addition to the lighting and special effects, Kraftwerk LT also installed two rear projection systems and a video mapping. The scope also included the system integration of various third-party components like the show control system and the audio system. Furthermore, Kraftwerk LT took responsibility for the audio and video playback systems, the lighting control system, the media control system as well as the digital signal processing and provided the entire related system design.
