2014 | Zhuhai (CN)Deep Sea Odyssey at Chimelong Ocean Kingdom
At the beginning of 2014, a brand new dark ride attraction opened at the Chimelong Ocean Kingdom Park in Zhuhai (China). Kraftwerk Living Technologies was assigned with the entire audiovisual system integration – audio system, video system, show control system – as well as scenic lighting, effect lighting, and ambient lighting including the lighting control system for the pre‑show and queueing area and the ride itself.
“Deep Sea Odyssey” takes visitors on an immersive scenic underwater experience, featuring a combination of themed scenes, animated media content and breathtaking glimpse’s of the aquarium’s tropical fish. One of the highlights of the attraction is an underwater volcano created using a digital projection dome which was created using a projection system containing 8 high-resolution projectors and a state-of-the-art automatic alignment system. As they pass through the dome and circle the volcano, passengers experience the red visual display of an underwater volcanic vent.
