2019 | Zhuhai (CN)Hunger Games: Mockingjay Flight Rebel Escape
Attractions designer CAVU Designwerks collaborated with Lionsgate, Thinkwell and Framestore to introduce a revolutionary new attraction to the industry at Lionsgate Entertainment World. Hunger Games – Mockingjay Flight Rebel Escape is a state-of-the-art multiple motion-based cabin 3D simulator, which takes guests on an action-packed adventure through the nation of Panem during the rebellion.
The signature ride loads 30 guests in a themed vehicle and uses 3D projections to let them flee the capitol in a thrilling chase. The attraction is the first enclosed motion simulator in mainland China and is entirely electric. With 6DOF (degrees of freedom), the motion base supports the vivid story to create a unique and cutting-edge experience. Kraftwerk Living Technologies was responsible for the complete AV system installed for the attraction, including a state-of-the-art 3D projection system with short throw lenses, projection screen, and uncompressed servers with a native playback at 2x60fps for razor-sharp and realistic images.
Lionsgate Entertainment World on the island of Hengqin in Zhuhai (CN) is Asia’s first movie-themed vertical theme park, centered on the entertainment company’s blockbuster movies such as The Twilight Saga, The Hunger Games and Divergent. The park’s aim is to engage visitors with rides that take advantage of some of the most advanced attractions technology available, including motion simulators, dark ride systems and VR experiences.
