2009 | Macau (CN)Virtual Aquarium at City of Dreams
The Virtual Aquarium is located at the City of Dreams’ main entrance and impressively simulates a real aquarium giving its visitors the impression of suddenly being below the ocean’s surface. Kraftwerk Living Technologies was responsible for the entire video and audio technology as well as the playback servers including the show control system.
Gigantic elements of acrylic glass without any bridges were outfitted with a rear projection foil and lit by 16 Christie DLP projectors (S+12K). A 16-channel server structure takes care of the content processing in the background. The calibration devices automatically fine-tunes the entire system. Meyer Sound’s professional audio equipment guarantees the best possible sound within the Virtual Aquarium.
